Ultimate Cornhole 3D – Multiplayer Support – Android

The newest version of Ultimate Cornhole 3D is out and it includes the MUCH requested feature of being able to play your friends or others online. Multiplayer is asynchronous turn-based so you can play at your convenience, not just when your friends are playing online. In order to utilize multiplayer, this version requires you to be logged into “Google Play Games” on your device. If you’re having trouble getting a multiplayer game started, read this article and see if your problems are resolved. If not, email us at contact@recreativestudios.com so we can document and resolve your issue.

Setting up Ultimate Cornhole 3D for Multiplayer on Android
First, make sure you have the newest version of Ultimate Cornhole 3D installed.  Second, you need to make sure that you are logged into Google Play Games within Ultimate Cornhole. If you open the app and the second button says “Sign In” then you are not signed into Google Play Games and the multiplayer functionality won’t work for you. Click the Sign In button and your Google Play Games account should automatically sign in.  Once you have a successful sign in, your Google Play Games username will appear on the second button.

Now that you are signed in to Google Play Games, you are ready to start a new game. Click the “New Game” button, then from the new game menu, select “Play Online”.  This will open up the multiplayer selection screen.  From here, you can either choose a random opponent (recommended), search for a specific Google Play Games opponent by name (uses Google+ networking), or choose from a recently played opponent.  Once you choose a player, you will then be given the green “PLAY” button at the bottom of the screen.  Once you click PLAY, the game will open and play will commence.

Congratulations! You’ve started a new game! Once you start the game you’ll be able to throw the first toss. Once thrown, your turn will be submitted to Google Play Games and you will be placed back to the main menu. Don’t worry, there’s lots of practice you can do in single player and time attack while you wait for your turn. If you picked a friend, Google Play Games will send them a message telling them it’s their turn. If you picked a random opponent Google Play Games will match you up to the next person that starts a game. This could take some time until the next person starts a match with a random opponent. Play continues back and forth with each opponent being notified via Google Play Games. If you’re in the game, there will be a red notification icon in the top right corner of the username button on the main menu. This button shows how many games are currently your turn.

You can always view all of your current online games by clicking on the button with your Google Play Games Username and then “Matches”.
